Thank you so much for your posts. I am deeply moved by your words. I can see vividly the things you describe because of them, and wish there was some way to mitigate the suffering of those children, but of course, at this point I cannot. Good for you, Jess to take this awesome and wonderful challenge. I look forward to more of your delicious articulation.

ReplyDeleteThe kids, the families, the communities - they still have an immense sense of pride and love. As long as they have that, they have hope. Anything I can do to foster that is a small gift, but all I can do right now, you know? No one wants pity - they just want a helping hand. I give as much as I can, but in spite of it all, I always get more back.
